CONSENSUS host public lecture by Professor Martina Schäfer in Galway (May 22nd 2015)
CONSENSUS is hosting a public lecture by Professor Martina Schäfer on Friday May 22nd 2015 at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The title of Prof Schäfer’s lecture is ‘”Consumption messages to take away” – Results of an inter- and transdisciplinary research program on Sustainable Consumption’.
Prof. Dr. Dr. Martina Schäfer is one of the Scientific Directors at the Center for Technology and Society at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany.
The CTS is a research center which promotes inter- and transdisciplinary research in the fields of energy and climate, mobility as well as land use and consumption patterns.
Prof. Schäfer has an interdisciplinary background with PhDs in environmental engineering and sociology. Her focus is sustainability research in the fields of sustainable consumption, sustainability innovations, as well as sustainable regional development.
This public lecture is co-hosted by the CONSENSUS research team, in conjunction with the National University of Ireland, Galway, funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and and supported by the School of Geography and Archaeology at NUI, Galway.
